I hope you and your families are doing well and enjoying this holiday. Holidays, sick days, and vacation days are all possible because working men and women collectively fought for the right to reap the fruits of their labor. Life is more than just work, “we work to live, not live to work” That’s only possible if your wages reflect the actual cost of living. Last week, we sent an informational notice detailing inflation's actual impact on your wages over the last decade. I hope you took the time to read that notice and the attached letter from your bargaining representative. The time to demand real wage increases is now. If you look across the country, working men and women are demanding and achieving improvements that would have been unimaginable years ago. I have attached another article about this phenomenon to demonstrate anything is possible. If anyone tells you different, you must wonder what world they are living in, and who do they really represent.
