This Wednesday, March 6, 2024, three informational meetings will be held to discuss the updated contract proposed by Alstom. They will be held at 7:00 a.m., 12:30 pm, and 3:00 pm to give all three shifts the ability to attend. After each meeting has concluded, members in good standing can vote on the proposal. As you may recall, the negotiating committee did not endorse the first proposal, that was overwhelmingly voted down. We then brought you Alstom's final best offer, after meeting with the company and a Mediator, that we did endorse. That proposal was also voted down. At this time, after some hard work from our General Chairman, Ricardo Sanchez, we have a new proposal that gives 1.5% more over the three (3) year deal than the first proposal. You all stood together and it has been recognized. All members are strongly encouraged to attend, ask questions, and vote to accept this proposal that we enthusiastically endorse.
