As everyone should be aware, effective January 1, 2023, our monthly Per Capita dues deductions were increased as per the International Convention. We know there has been some confusion recently and the BSC has not been helpful during the period from December 2021 to the present, as they have made continuous errors in the deductions and reports. We are aware of these errors and have been in contact with the BSC to again correct these issues.
So everyone is again aware, the total Per Capita increases are as follows:
- A Members were increased $4.00 per month and the annuity was also increased to $5.50 per month per year of service as of January 1, 2023.
- BA Members were increased $2.00 per month.
Approximately 25 A Members are paid up in advance, and as a result, the I.O. still takes their portion which to return, was added to the Local’s Per Capita Dues. Meaning, the Local must recover those monies for the International. That is what some of you have seen as an “extra” $8 - $16 that were to come out as a one time deduction on top of your regular deduction. The BSC managed to incorrectly deduct extras on some of those deductions as well.
